THE BERETTA 92X PERFORMANCE
Updated: Sep 20, 2022
INTRODUCTION
The Beretta 92X Performance is a competition pistol created for speed and accuracy. Uncompromising in precision and reliability, the Beretta 92X Performance offers the world of competitive shooting one of the most dynamic and precise handguns the industry has ever seen.

BRIEF HISTORY: BERETTA 92 SERIES
The Beretta 92X Performance is derivative of the Beretta 92, a series of semi-automatic pistols designed and manufactured in Italy. The original Beretta 92 was created in 1975, with mass production beginning in 1976 and ending in 1983. Since then, the Beretta 92 series has produced variations in several different calibers, all designed for specific applications: sport, military, defense, etc.
The Beretta 92X Performance is one of the latest iterations in the Beretta 92 series, with production beginning in 2019 and still ongoing. It was introduced alongside the Beretta 92X as a competition pistol. Unlike the standard Beretta 92X, the Beretta 92X Performance has a red fiber optic front sight, adjustable rear sight, front and rear slide serrations, a skeletonized hammer, competition hammer spring, steel spring recoil rod, extended beavertail, front and rear frame checkering, oversized magazine release, and a match take-down lever. The bottom line is that the Beretta 92X Performance offers no compromises and serves as the gold standard for competition pistol shooting.
TECHNICAL FEATURES
The Vertec steel frame and Brigadier slide increase the weight of the 92X performance to 1,350 grams, significantly increasing the pistol’s stability and reducing muzzle rise when firing. The oversized magazine and the rear chequering, which can also be found on the front of the frame, improve the pistol's handling and grip. The raised frame profile near the magazine release enables the shooter's hand to sit as high as possible on the hilt, which is also oversized to allow a deeper hold. The magazine release is reversible, and an adjustable version is available on the aftermarket. Safety on the frame is ambidextrous and is available in three different size profiles, making it adaptable to various hand types and other IPSC divisions.
Every component of the Beretta 92X performance is designed to maximize the following characteristics:
Accuracy
Power
Speed
Control
Portability
Customization
ACCURACY
The more prominent magazine well and rear chequering, which can also be found on the front of the frame, improve the pistol's handle and grip, improving accuracy. The raised frame profile near the magazine release allows the shooter's hand to sit as far up on the hilt as feasible, which is also large enough to allow for a long, firm grip. The magazine release is reversible, and an aftermarket adjustable version is available. The frame safety is sensitive and is available in three different size profiles, making it suited to various hand types and IPSC divisions.

POWER
The 92x has a skeletonized hammer with a competition standard hammer spring to allow for faster cycle time. The new Extreme - S trigger technique maintains the striker's automatic safety latch, ensuring the pistol in the event of a fall, but reduces trigger reset by up to 40%. The 92x performance has an "out of the box" weight of 1.5kg in single-action and 3 kilograms in double-action with the Extreme - S. The brigadier slide's saw-toothed handling procedure on the front and rear ensures total grip during slide movement in any conditions. The steel spring recoil rod guarantees precise functioning. The location where the finger lands on the trigger is asymmetrical. It is altered to achieve a vertical front profile in a single action.
SPEED
The "match" take-down level ensures that the second hand has a precise reference point. The 92X Performance has a front bead sight that features a red fiber optic inlay, which allows for quick and accurate target acquisition. It also has an adjustable rear sight. The 92x Performance also enables you to adjust the pre-travel and extra travel through two screws inside the frame at the upper half of the magazine well.
EFFECTIVE CONTROL
The extended magazine release allows quick magazine changing
The cross-checking front and back aid in the gun's balance.
The revised grip panels and wrap-around have improved ergonomics and a bespoke variable density texture.
PORTABILITY
A single size does not fit all. The 92x is methodically designed to meet a wide range of requirements. The Beretta 92x is ideal for competition shooting, home defense, or concealed carry.
CUSTOMIZATION
One intriguing feature of the Beretta 92x is the ability to customize it to what you want. It has several features that allow it to be tailored to the shooter's desired fit and feel:
Removable front sights enable simple customization to meet the shooter's needs.
The Mil-Spec M1913 Picatinny Rail allows for simple accessories and light mounting.
The Beretta 92x includes Vertec panel grips for smaller hands and a unique Wrap-around grip for larger hands.

Reversible magazine release
